Algerian
Association of Muslim Scholars Condemns Regional Escalation and Calls for Unity
to Face Challenges

The Algerian Association of
Muslim Scholars issued a statement on Tuesday expressing deep concern over what
it described as the American and Zionist targeting of the Islamic Republic of
Iran and the potential consequences of a dangerous escalation that could
threaten neighboring countries and the entire region. The association also
noted its close monitoring of military developments between Pakistan and
Afghanistan during a critical period for the Muslim world.
The association voiced grave
concern over the situations in Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and other Muslim
countries, warning of the serious repercussions of these disturbances on the
Islamic world and humanity as a whole.
Condemnation of
Injustice and Rejection of Domination
The association reaffirmed its
condemnation of all forms of injustice and aggression, rejecting policies of
domination, arrogance, and colonialism. It called for collective efforts to
oppose such practices in accordance with Islamic principles.
It further urged the Muslim
community—governments and peoples alike—to assume their responsibilities by
strengthening unity, solidarity, and common purpose, while rejecting divisions
and rhetoric that foster discord. The statement emphasized the importance of
promoting messages of brotherhood and cooperation.
Call for Unity and
Peaceful Solutions
The association appealed to
Muslim countries to prioritize wisdom and peaceful solutions, preventing the
advancement of expansionist policies that threaten national sovereignty and
security. It stressed the need to protect societies from the devastating consequences
of war and its impact on stability and development.
Additionally, it called on
scholars, intellectuals, and thought leaders to seize this critical moment by
promoting initiatives that enhance material, moral, intellectual, and spiritual
strength. The statement highlighted the necessity of unity around core
principles and major causes, particularly the Palestinian and Jerusalem issues,
as well as efforts to restore the dignity and standing of the Muslim world.
The association also encouraged
communities to uphold sound moral values, strengthen social cohesion, and
remain aware of the challenges of the current phase. It urged support for
constructive efforts aimed at ending conflicts and prioritizing the collective
interests of the Muslim world through solidarity and active engagement.
