Hamas Calls for
Global Protests Against the Ongoing Aggression and Genocide in the Gaza Strip
The Islamic Resistance Movement
(Hamas) issued a global call for action through angry marches and pressure
activities to protest the ongoing aggression and genocide against the
Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the movement
said that the continued aggression of the fascist Zionist occupation government
against the Palestinian people in Gaza—through the escalation of airstrikes and
relentless barbaric bombardment, and the perpetration of the most heinous
crimes of systematic killing by demolishing and destroying the tents and homes
of defenseless innocent civilians—reflects a clear insistence on committing the
most atrocious acts of systematic killing and deepening the worsening
humanitarian suffering in the Strip.
Hamas added that the government
of war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu continues to deliberately and repeatedly
violate the ceasefire agreement on a daily basis, evading its obligations to
the mediators, showing disregard for international laws and norms, and
committing a blatant violation of all human values and principles.
The movement continued: “We
direct our call to people of living conscience and free individuals in our Arab
and Islamic nation and around the world, to take urgent action through all
forms of solidarity marches with our people and our just cause, and to organize
angry demonstrations in cities, capitals, and public squares across the globe,
in rejection of the continued unjust aggression by the fascist Zionist
occupation government against the people of Gaza.”
Hamas emphasized that the coming
days—especially Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays of every week—should constitute
a sustained and escalating global movement that expresses the voice of the
world’s conscience and its free outcry against occupation, aggression, and
genocide targeting the people of Gaza. This movement should employ all forms of
popular pressure on the occupation government to halt its brutal aggression,
adhere to the ceasefire, immediately open the crossings, allow relief aid, and
begin reconstruction.
The Zionist occupation continues
to violate the ceasefire agreement on a daily basis, resulting in the killing
of 526 Palestinians, while also preventing the entry of the agreed-upon
quantities of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
With American support, the
genocide carried out by the Zionist occupation in Gaza has resulted in
approximately 72,000 martyrs and more than 171,000 wounded, most of them
children and women, in addition to destruction affecting about 90% of the
civilian infrastructure.
