105
Female Quran Memorizes Recite the Entire
Quran in a Majestic Event in Gaza

Al-Sayed Qutb Mosque in the
Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, witnessed a majestic Quranic event
in which 105 female memorizers participated, reciting the entire Quran in a
single session. This spiritual scene marked a powerful return after a long
hiatus imposed by the war and fears of ongoing Israeli airstrikes.

The organizers and participants
expressed feelings of joy and determination to continue the Quranic journey,
emphasizing that this event reflects the deeply rooted spirit of resilience in
Gaza.

One of the supervisors described the
atmosphere as “more than wonderful,” noting that the activity resumed after “a
pause of more than two years due to the Israeli occupation depriving us of this
magnificent atmosphere.”

A Quranic
Celebration Despite the Wounds

Umm Ahmed Abu Al-Rous, the mother of
a martyr, described the event as “a Quranic celebration despite the wounds and
the bitterness of loss,” adding, “We wanted to recite several parts of the
Quran and dedicate this joy to the souls of the martyrs and to everyone who
extended a helping hand to the people of Gaza.” She affirmed that Gaza “will
not be defeated as long as the Quran is present.”

In a scene reflecting strong faith,
an elderly woman born in 1948 spoke about continuing her Quran memorization for
decades, saying she has “been stationed in this mosque for 30 years in the
company of the Quran.” She proudly noted that all her grandchildren have
memorized the Quran in the same mosque.

Another woman, 76 years old, also
participated despite her age, saying she “lives with God” through the Quran.
She explained that she is the mother of three martyrs from the wars Israel
waged on Gaza in 2008, 2014, and 2023, in addition to martyrs among her
grandchildren.

A New
Generation Carries the Torch

Among the participants, young Malak
Zuhair Bassam recited three parts in her first participation in this event,
expressing her hope to one day recite the entire Quran in a single session,
“God willing.”
