Network in Norway Hosts Seminar on Modern Quranic Discourse and Community
Engagement

The Islamic Dialogue Network in
Norway, through its Committee of Imams and Knowledge, recently organized a
specialized scientific seminar featuring Professor Khairuddin Khoja from Doha,
a leading scholar in Quranic sciences, interpretation, and Islamic culture, and
a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

The seminar, held at the
Albanian Islamic Cultural Center Qikshn Norvegji, brought together more than 35
imams and board members from Islamic institutions in Oslo and surrounding
areas. Participants discussed strategies to foster a contemporary understanding
of religion amid rapidly changing social dynamics across Europe.

Professor Khoja delivered an
in-depth presentation on the methodology of engaging with the Quranic text in
modern contexts, emphasizing the importance of linking religious scholarship
with real-life challenges, and highlighting the role of religious leadership in
guiding society while fostering both individual and collective responsibility.

The seminar also included an
open discussion and exchange of experiences among attendees, addressing the
daily challenges faced by Muslims in Norway and exploring ways to develop a
balanced religious discourse that harmonizes Islamic identity, social integration,
and civic responsibilities.

The event concluded by stressing
the importance of such scientific gatherings in strengthening Muslim presence
and advancing religious knowledge within Norwegian society, with organizers
expressing gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions.
