Popular demonstrations in
several countries in solidarity with Gaza against Zionist extermination
Popular demonstrations continued in Morocco,
Mauritania, Lebanon, and Yemen, in support of the Palestinian people in the
Gaza Strip, who are facing ongoing extermination by the Israeli occupation for
nearly two years.
Morocco:
Several Moroccan cities, including Tangier,
Casablanca, Tetouan, Marrakech, Kenitra, Fez, Meknes, and Agadir, witnessed
protest gatherings after Friday prayers, during which participants condemned
the continued starvation of civilians in Gaza and the closure of crossings.
In front of the parliament in Rabat,
demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and pictures of resistance leaders,
chanting slogans denouncing Zionist attacks on Arab and Islamic countries,
demanding that the leaders of the occupation be held accountable for the
committed crimes.
They also praised the Global Resilience
Fleet heading to Gaza and called on Arab and Islamic regimes to cancel
normalization agreements and boycott occupation products.
Mauritania:
In the capital, Nouakchott, hundreds of
Mauritanians organized a demonstration in front of the “Grand Mosque,” chanting
slogans such as “Greetings from Shinqit to proud Gaza” and “Starving Gaza is a
war crime,” demanding an end to the extermination and the expulsion of the U.S.
ambassador, considering Washington responsible for the continuation of the
Zionist aggression.
Lebanon:
A popular march took place in Tripoli under
the slogan “We will not leave Gaza alone,” starting from Abdul Hamid Karami
Square toward the city streets, at the invitation of the “Al-Aqsa Support
Committee.”
Sheikh Nasser Al-Tikriti affirmed support
for the people of Gaza, praising their resilience and teaching the world the
meaning of steadfastness on the right path.
Yemen:
Sanaa and several provinces witnessed
massive demonstrations with the participation of hundreds of thousands, under
the slogan “With Gaza, we will not accept the shame of abandonment.”
Demonstrators raised Yemeni and Palestinian
flags, condemned global and Arab silence regarding Zionist extermination, and
confirmed that protests would continue weekly in support of the Palestinian
people and against the aggression.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli
occupation, with U.S. support, has committed a genocide in Gaza, resulting in
the martyrdom of more than 65,000 Palestinians, including children and women,
and the injury of more than 166,000 others, with hundreds of thousands
displaced.
