Zurich Hosts a Cultural and
Educational Event Titled: “Prophet Muhammad
ﷺ… The Best Educator”
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Women’s
Department of the Albanian Islamic Union in Switzerland (DAIGS) organized a
cultural and educational event at the Tulipan Mosque in Zurich, under the
theme: “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ… The Best
Educator.” The event was dedicated to discussing issues facing teenagers and
methods of addressing them within the context of life in the diaspora.
The gathering was attended by a
distinguished group of female scholars, teachers, and coordinators of women’s
forums in Albanian mosques, along with a number of young women and students
from the community. Speeches and lessons emphasized that raising the new
generation is a trust and a shared responsibility that requires love, support,
and constructive dialogue.
The program opened with a moving Qur’an
recitation by Hafiza Fatima Uday from the Biel–Bienne Mosque, followed by
welcoming remarks from Ms. Aisha Ademi.
Ms. Safiye Uday then moderated the meeting
as session chair, while Ms. Ilona Mucha, Head of the Women’s Department,
stressed that raising future generations is a major responsibility, citing
Qur’anic verses and Prophetic traditions.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr.
Nadira Mustafa from the Rorschach Institute of Education, who addressed, in an
academic manner, ways of dealing with teenagers in the diaspora. She affirmed
that successful upbringing is founded on love and appreciation, not punishment,
and that warm dialogue between parents and children is the cornerstone of sound
education.
The program also featured poems and
religious chants performed by students and memorizers of the Qur’an, creating a
particularly spiritual atmosphere. In conclusion, certificates of appreciation
and gifts were distributed to contributors and participants, and the Tulipan
Mosque invited attendees to an open banquet.
The event reflected the vitality of Albanian
Muslim women in Switzerland and their active role in serving the community and
raising future generations in the diaspora.
