Fleet of Steadfastness: 16
Ships Depart Tunisia for Gaza to Break the Israeli Blockade

As of Sunday evening, 16 ships departed from
the ports of Kram, Sidi Bou Said, and Bizerte in northern Tunisia, as part of
the Global Steadfastness Fleet heading to the Gaza Strip to break the Israeli
blockade and open a humanitarian corridor
.

Khaled Boujemaa, a member of the Maghreb
Steadfastness Fleet, stated that 11 ships left Bizerte port from Saturday
evening until Sunday evening, while three ships departed from the Kram port in
the capital, Tunis
.

Additionally, two ships departed from Sidi
Bou Said port, while a third ship is ready to sail, awaiting the completion of
some logistical procedures
.

Earlier on Sunday, Ghassan Al-Hanshiri,
spokesperson for the Maghreb Steadfastness Fleet, confirmed that two Tunisian
ships had departed from Kram port toward Gaza, with a third ship preparing to
leave soon, noting that eight Tunisian ships remain docked at the port
.

Al-Hanshiri added that there are other ships
at Sidi Bou Said port, in addition to ships that have departed from Italy and
Spain, all of which are scheduled to meet at sea before heading toward Gaza
.

The International Committee to Break the
Gaza Blockade announced on Saturday the departure of the first ship of the
Global Steadfastness Fleet from Bizerte port in northern Tunisia
.

The fleet comprises approximately 50 ships
gathered in Tunisian ports, including a Maghreb convoy of 23 ships, alongside
22 foreign vessels from European countries, Latin America, the United States,
Pakistan, India, and Malaysia
.

Convoys of ships departed from the Spanish
port of Barcelona and the Italian port of Genoa in late August and early
September, arriving on Tunisian shores in preparation for their journey toward
Gaza to break the Israeli blockade and open a humanitarian corridor
.

Hundreds of people from 47 Arab and Western
countries are participating in the fleet, including politicians, artists, and
parliamentarians, marking the largest gathering of ships heading to Gaza, after
previous individual ships were intercepted by Israel and activists were
detained
.

Israel has closed all crossings to Gaza
since March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid,
resulting in severe famine in the territory. Occasionally, the Israeli
authorities allow limited quantities of aid, insufficient to meet basic needs
.

The Zionist occupation, with American
support, has been conducting a military campaign since 7 October 2023, which
claimed the lives of more than 64 thousand martyrs, including thousands of
children and women, and resulted in the injury of hundreds of thousands,
displacement of hundreds of thousands, in addition to a famine that claimed the
lives of hundreds.
