Qatar Holds Solemn
National Funeral for Victims of Israeli Aggression in a Ceremony Uniting Qatari
and Palestinian Blood
Doha – The State of Qatar held a
solemn national funeral for the victims of the Israeli airstrike that targeted
the offices of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Doha, resulting in
the martyrdom of Qatari Corporal Badr Al-Dosari and five Palestinians. The
attack was considered one of the gravest violations of the country’s
sovereignty and security.
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim
bin Hamad Al Thani, led the funeral prayer for the martyrs at Imam Muhammad bin
Abdul Wahhab Mosque, with large crowds of citizens and residents participating,
in a scene that embodied national unity and sent a decisive message rejecting
any breach of the state’s security and principles.
Following the prayer, a grand
funeral procession proceeded to the “Mushaimeer” cemetery, where the bodies
were laid to rest, in the presence of a wide official and public turnout.
Qatari and Palestinian flags
were raised side by side, and chants of prayers and praises resonated, in a
scene combining grief over the loss with pride in the martyrs’ sacrifices.
Thousands of citizens and
residents who could not attend the mosque prayer also gathered at the cemetery
to bid farewell to the martyrs, collectively expressing solidarity and popular
rejection of the aggression.
Participants affirmed that the
blood of Qatari martyr Badr Al-Dosari and his Palestinian companions would
remain a testament to the shared destiny of the two peoples and a clear
demonstration of the brutality of the Israeli occupation. They emphasized that
these sacrifices would strengthen the determination to confront aggression and
uphold the justice of the Palestinian cause.
Unity of Blood… Unity of Destiny
Dr. Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi,
President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, described the event as
an extraordinary scene reflecting the martyrs’ esteemed place in the
consciousness of the nation. He noted that the full attendance at Imam Muhammad
bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque highlighted the depth of popular and official
solidarity.
Al-Qaradaghi stressed that the
mingling of Qatari and Palestinian blood carries profound significance in
confronting this brutal aggression. He affirmed that the Israeli crime is
condemned internationally and exposes the isolation of the occupation and its
true nature before the world.
He also highlighted that the
martyrs’ status in Islam is eternal—they are alive with their Lord and provided
for—while the killers, though seemingly alive, are “dead in spirit and
conscience.”
