Zionist Occupation Starving Gaza’s Children: Over 40,000 Infants
Face Slow and Silent Death

The
Government Media Office in Gaza has warned of an unprecedented humanitarian
catastrophe threatening the lives of tens of thousands of children, as the
Zionist occupation continues to block the entry of infant formula into the
besieged Gaza Strip for over 150 days.

In a
statement issued on Monday, the Office revealed that more than 40,000 infants
under the age of one are facing the risk of slow and painful death due to the
suffocating blockade imposed by the Zionist occupation, which deprives them of
their most basic rights to food and care.

The
statement called for the immediate and unconditional opening of all border
crossings, and the urgent entry of baby formula and humanitarian aid. It held
the Zionist occupation, its supporters, and the international community fully
responsible for every innocent life lost due to this systematic and deliberate
siege.

In the
same context, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) affirmed in a
statement today that the entire population of Gaza is suffering from hunger,
stressing that children are the most affected, as the Zionist blockade tightens
around civilians.

Since
October 7, 2023, the Zionist occupation, backed by the United States, has been
waging a full-scale genocidal war on Gaza involving mass killing, destruction,
starvation, and forced displacement—blatantly ignoring international appeals
and even defying International Court of Justice orders to halt the aggression.

So far,
this genocide has resulted in more than 204,000 Palestinians killed or wounded,
most of them women and children, in addition to 9,000 missing persons, hundreds
of thousands of displaced people, and a deadly famine that has already claimed
many lives—including dozens of children.
