Under Zionist Siege: Systematic Genocide and Starvation Threaten the Strip with
Mass Death
A massive
demonstration took place in front of the U.S. Department of State headquarters
in Washington, demanding an immediate end to the war waged by the Zionist
occupation on the Gaza Strip, and calling for urgent humanitarian aid to save
the besieged population.
Protesters held
signs demanding an end to the starvation of Palestinians and an immediate
ceasefire, in addition to urging President Donald Trump’s administration to
halt military support to the Zionist entity. The Netanyahu-led government,
wanted by the International Criminal Court, continues to brutally target
civilians.
In a separate march
through the streets of New York, participants expressed their rejection of the
imposed siege on Gaza, calling for its immediate lifting and an end to the
starvation devastating the population.
Demonstrators also
gathered in front of the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’
residence, urging the international organization to intervene to stop the siege
and halt the deaths of children and women from hunger.
In a tragic
development, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the
death toll from starvation and malnutrition has risen to 101, including 80
children, since October 2023.
The Gaza government
media office warned that the Strip is on the brink of mass death after more
than 140 days of closed crossings and the prevention of vital aid deliveries.
Since March 2, 2025,
the Zionist occupation has refused to implement a ceasefire agreement with the
Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and prisoner exchange deal, keeping
crossings closed to aid trucks piled up at the borders, with clear American
support.
Since October 7,
2023, the occupation forces have been waging a genocidal war on Gaza involving
killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring
international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt
these crimes.
These crimes have
resulted in the martyrdom and injury of more than 201,000 Palestinians, most of
them women and children, with over 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands
displaced, in addition to a famine wave that has claimed many lives.
