The Library of the Prophet’s Mosque
stands as one of the most prominent beacons of knowledge and scholarship in the
Islamic world, blending the richness of authentic heritage with modern
technological tools to offer a unique experience for researchers and knowledge
seekers.
The library houses more than 182,000
categorized books across 71 fields of knowledge, available in over 23 global
languages, making it a primary destination for visitors and scholars from
around the world.
It also hosts over 143,000 digital books
and provides access to approximately 43 million digital pages, reflecting the
richness of its content and the ease of access to scientific resources.
To enhance the user experience, the
library has equipped 70 computers for digital research, allowing visitors and
researchers to navigate millions of pages and references with speed and
accuracy.
Strategically located inside the
Prophet’s Mosque on the western side—at Gate No. (10)—the library remains open
24 hours a day, welcoming all those who seek knowledge and love learning.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of
the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque emphasized that this integrated
knowledge system is part of the mission of the Two Holy Mosques to promote
learning and facilitate access to it, while preserving an enduring scholarly
legacy that serves current and future generations.
