Karasu Celebrates Graduation of 34 Girls Memorizing the Holy
Quran in an Official and Popular Spiritual Ceremony
In an atmosphere filled with spirituality
and joy, the Karasu Municipality, part of Sakarya Province in northwestern
Turkey, organized a solemn procession to celebrate the graduation of a group of
girls who completed memorizing the Holy Quran, in the presence of a large
audience including families and local officials.
A Festive Procession Accompanied by Traditional
Music for the Quran Memorizers
The events began promptly at 10 a.m., as
34 girls who memorized the Quran marched in a distinctive procession,
accompanied by the traditional band “Mehter,” which played customary tunes. The
procession moved along the main street until it reached the Social Development
Center, amid great public interaction.
Opening the Ceremony with Quran Recitation and
Welcoming Speeches
The official ceremony was held in the
conference hall of the center, starting with a Quranic recitation by Sheikh
Albjan Celik, Imam of Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha Mosque in Beşiktaş. This was
followed by a welcoming speech from the local Mufti, Mohammad Celbi, who
congratulated the memorizers and their families, and expressed gratitude to the
donors and supporters of this blessed Quranic project.
Moving Recitations and Religious Hymns Stir the
Emotions of Attendees
The event featured various recitations by
distinguished Quran readers, most notably:

Metin Çakar – Imam of Fatih Mosque
*Hafiz Benjamin Topçuoğlu – Imam of Hagia
Sophia Mosque
*Imam
of the Osmaniye Nur Mosque, Nizameddin Sevil, who delivered a closing
recitation along with a collection of religious hymns and poems that created an
emotional atmosphere highly appreciated by the audience.
Strong Support for the Quran Memorizers
Deputy Mufti of Sakarya Province,
Mohammad Şahin, delivered a heartfelt speech emphasizing the importance of this
event in the hearts of Muslims. This was followed by a speech from the Governor
of Akyazı District, Mustafa İkbal İşki, who expressed his pride and honor in
this blessed occasion.
Sina Otçar Taş, an expert from the
Supreme Council for Religious Affairs, also spoke, conveying greetings from the
President of Religious Affairs, Dr. Ali Erbaş, to the people of Karasu. She
expressed her happiness in honoring 34 girls who completed memorizing the Quran
as part of the central girls’ course supervised by the Karasu Mufti Office.

The ceremony concluded in a solemn
spiritual atmosphere filled with chants of Takbeer and prayers, reflecting the
deep value of the Holy Quran in the hearts of those present and their joy in
