Marrakech Hosts Youth of the Islamic
World in an International Event to Promote Cultural Exchange, Development, and
Peace

The activities of “Marrakech – Capital of Youth of the
Islamic World 2025” recently kicked off on July 1st, with the participation of
around 200 young men and women from more than 48 member states of the
Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

This international event is organized by the Ministry
of Youth, Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco, in cooperation
with the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), the youth arm of the OIC.

The program comes as part of the celebration of
Marrakech being designated as the Capital of Youth of the Islamic World. It
spans five days and features a variety of activities encompassing intellectual,
cultural, artistic, and sports dimensions.

The events include open dialogue sessions and youth
forums addressing key issues such as democracy, peace and security, cultural
identity, as well as the role of youth in achieving sustainable development.

The program also offers training workshops in various
fields aimed at building youth capacities and enhancing their leadership
skills.

Among the highlights of the program is the
International Youth Forum under the theme: “Youth of the Islamic World:
Post-COVID Challenges”, which seeks to empower young people to develop
innovative solutions to crises, promote their engagement in addressing social
and economic challenges, and support the values of solidarity, coexistence, and
cultural exchange among the peoples of the Islamic world.
