President of the Union Attends Prophet’s
Birthday Week in Turkey
The President of the International Union of Muslim
Scholars, His Eminence Sheikh Prof. Dr. Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi, is
participating—at the official invitation of the Presidency of Religious Affairs
of Turkey—in the events of the Prophet’s Birthday Week, held on the occasion of
the 1500th anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), on
September 3 and 4.
The events open today, Wednesday, September 3, at the
Culture and Congress Center of the Presidential Complex in Ankara, under the
auspices and in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The opening
ceremony will feature a series of religious and cultural programs that reflect
the Prophetic values and promote the noble Islamic message.
On Thursday, September 4, the President of the Union
will participate in a scholarly workshop in the city of Konya, focusing on the
themes of Gaza and the Family, alongside a distinguished group of academics and
experts in the Prophetic tradition, to discuss issues facing the Muslim Ummah
and to derive solutions inspired by the guidance and blessed life of the
Prophet (peace be upon him).
The event also includes a series of cultural and
academic activities across Turkey, aimed at strengthening awareness of Islamic
values and deepening the historical and religious understanding of the life of
the noble Prophet.
