Over 300 Publishers at Madinah Book Fair 2024: A Summer Cultural
Destination for Book Lovers

The
fourth edition of the Madinah Book Fair 2024 kicked off on Tuesday, with the
participation of over 300 local and international publishing houses. The event
is held under the supervision of the Saudi Literature, Publishing, and
Translation Commission, and takes place in the vicinity of the King Salman
International Convention Center.

Running
until August 4, the fair features publishers from 10 Arab and foreign
countries, including Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and
Sweden. It is part of the “Book Fairs in Saudi Arabia” initiative, which aims
to promote the publishing industry and foster cultural and intellectual
awareness across all segments of society.

Coinciding
with the summer vacation for schools and universities, the fair has become a
favored destination for youth and young adults. Dedicated interactive programs
and activities have been designed for them, including educational and
entertainment events in a specially designated children’s area.

The
event also features a rich cultural program, offering thought-provoking
seminars, panel discussions, workshops, and book signing sessions for a
selection of the latest literary and knowledge-based publications.

The
Madinah Book Fair serves as a comprehensive cultural platform that reflects the
vibrant literary movement in Saudi Arabia and reinforces the status of Madinah
as a hub for culture and knowledge.
