Celebrates the Graduation of 1,301 Quran Memorisers in Yemen’s Largest Quranic
and Cultural Event
The Charitable
Association for Quran Education in Marib Governorate, east of the capital
Sana’a, celebrated the graduation of 1,301 male and female Quran
memorisers in a major religious and cultural event that drew widespread public
participation.
Footage released by
the association and shared widely on social media showed hundreds of graduates
dressed in traditional Yemeni attire, parading through the streets of Marib
while carrying the Yemeni flag, in a festive atmosphere reflecting pride and honor
in this Quranic achievement.
Religious and social
figures joined the procession alongside the families of the graduates. The
event featured anthems and slogans celebrating the memorisation of the Quran
and encouraging the dissemination of its knowledge, highlighting the Yemeni
community’s dedication to Quranic circles and nurturing the younger generation.
Organizers
emphasized that the ceremony is the largest of its kind in Yemen and marks the
culmination of years of teaching, memorization, and supervision. They noted
that the project aims to cultivate a generation equipped with religious
knowledge and Quranic ethics, while continuing to support memorization programs
across various districts.
