80 Girls in Quranic Circles within Educational Programs to Promote Religious
Education
In a move reflecting the success
of religious education programs for girls in mosques, the Bardhoshet Mosque in
the capital of Kosovo organized an educational and commemorative ceremony,
attended by 80 girls enrolled in Quranic learning circles. The event was part
of the efforts of the Women’s Department at the Islamic Community to promote
Islamic education and to connect the younger generation to the Quran both
intellectually and morally.
The ceremony served as an
encouraging milestone, motivating the girls to continue their studies and
progress from the foundational stages to more advanced levels in reading and
memorization, highlighting the positive impact of regular educational programs
in nurturing a generation aware of its values and identity.
The event was conducted under
the educational supervision of the female instructors from the Women’s
Department of the Islamic Community. The programs focused on combining Quranic
instruction with the cultivation of moral values such as honesty, integrity,
and discipline, reinforcing the role of the mosque as a community-based
educational institution that nurtures girls in a safe and stimulating
environment.
The program included the
distribution of copies of the Holy Quran to seven girls who had completed the
alphabet learning stage and were beginning the reading stage, sending a
motivational message that diligence and perseverance are recognized and rewarded.
Gifts were also presented to the students of memorization circles who had
completed several parts of the Quran, fostering a spirit of positive
competition and highlighting the importance of commitment and effort.
This initiative confirms that
religious education within Kosovo’s mosques has evolved into a comprehensive
path that links learning with motivation and character development, providing
girls with an organized space to progress and learn under professional
educational supervision.
