organized a national forum titled “Algiers University: A Civilizational Mission
in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”, which lasted for two days. The event was
attended by several ministers, national figures, officials, representatives of
official and academic bodies, alongside a group of researchers, experts, and
academics.

under the supervision of the Dean of Algiers University, Sheikh Muhammad
Al-Mamoun Al-Qasimi Al-Hassani.
From Diagnosis to Construction
The forum
highlighted a set of issues reflecting a deep awareness of contemporary
challenges and a genuine will to move from diagnosis to constructive action.
Participants called
on researchers to engage in collective thinking and produce solid knowledge
that supports decision-makers, serves society, and preserves reference points,
while opening avenues for fruitful dialogue and desired cooperation.
Artificial Intelligence and Religious Reference
The forum held
particular significance as it showcased ways in which religious and academic
institutions interact with artificial intelligence technologies. It examined
the prospects and challenges of journalism in the digital age, emphasizing that
conscious engagement with modern technologies has become essential to keep pace
with rapid transformations.
The scientific
workshops at the forum addressed key topics such as:
·
The
Algerian religious reference in the digital environment
·
Civilizational
dialogue as a bridge for human understanding
These topics were
approached with self-awareness, confidence in the religious reference, and the
ability to engage in constructive interaction, while highlighting the
challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence, including its
capacity to gather and analyze data, produce knowledge, and influence public
opinion.
The forum also
emphasized the leading role of religious and academic institutions in preparing
to face these challenges, the importance of vigilance and moderation in dealing
with new developments, and the need to protect identity and preserve society from
fragmentation or external intrusion.
A Fruitful Conclusion and Recognition of Participants
The closing session
of the forum featured the presentation of the outcomes of the sessions and
workshops, the reading of recommendations, and the honoring of participating
