A Palestinian young woman suffered a fatal injury on Wednesday morning when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at her at the entrance of al-Arroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil.
The slain woman was identified as Ghofran Warasnah, 31, from al-Khalil province. A bullet penetrated her chest, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
A Red Crescent ambulance crew evacuated the victim in critical condition to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Israeli occupation army claimed the woman was intending to stab soldiers with a knife at the main entrance of al-Arroub camp.
