Months

German
authorities reported 930 Islamophobia (anti-Islam) crimes in the country
during the first nine months of 2025, according to a government report
published on Monday in response to an inquiry submitted by the Left Party
faction in the German Parliament.

The
report showed that the Federal Criminal Police Office received 469 reports of
anti-Islam crimes in the first quarter of the year, 316 in the second quarter,
and 145 in the third quarter.

A total
of 283 suspects were identified in Islamophobia-related crimes during the first
quarter, 172 in the second quarter, and 85 in the third quarter, while five
individuals were detained without any prison sentences issued against them.

The
report indicated that 31 attacks targeted mosques between January and September
2025, resulting in 38 people being injured.

Islamophobia
crimes included incitement to hatred, insults, threats, the use of
unconstitutional organization symbols, as well as property damage and physical
assaults.

The
report confirmed that the majority of these crimes were committed by far-right
extremists, highlighting the ongoing challenges related to hate and extremism
in Germany.
