Armed clashes erupted in Burqin town, in Jenin, after being stormed by large numbers of Israeli occupation forces (IOF) late Wednesday.

Israeli military sources said that an Israeli soldier was shot and injured during the clashes.

A large-scale raid and arrest campaign was, meanwhile, carried out in the town.

The leader in Hamas Movement Sheikh Musa Hallajiya was among the detainees.
