The Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars<\/strong>, Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Sallabi<\/strong>, congratulated Sheikh Dr. Abdel Halim Qaba<\/strong> on his election as President of the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars<\/strong> and Professor Dr. Abdel Haq Mihi<\/strong> on his election as Secretary-General of the Association<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Official Congratulations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In an official congratulatory message, Sheikh Al-Sallabi<\/strong> expressed his great happiness at this occasion, emphasizing that the trust placed in Sheikh Qaba<\/strong> to lead the association represents a great responsibility<\/strong> and an opportunity for further contribution and progress<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He also extended his blessings to all members of the association on completing their new administrative formations<\/strong>, wishing them success in their missions.<\/p>\n

Strengthening Cooperation Between the Union and the Algerian Association<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Secretary-General<\/strong> pointed out that the new leadership<\/strong> taking office will further enhance the distinguished relations between the International Union of Muslim Scholars<\/strong> and the Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars<\/strong>. This, in turn, will open broader horizons for cooperation in various fields<\/strong> to serve the causes of the Islamic nation<\/strong> and humanity<\/strong> at large.<\/p>\n

He affirmed that the International Union of Muslim Scholars<\/strong> is fully prepared for joint collaboration<\/strong> to achieve the desired goals<\/strong>, contributing to uniting, reforming, and advancing<\/strong> the nation in various fields.<\/p>\n

A Legacy of Reform and Cultural Resistance<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Association of Algerian Muslim Scholars<\/strong> was founded on May 5, 1931<\/strong>, in Algiers<\/strong>, with the participation of 72 scholars<\/strong> from various regions and backgrounds, in the context of resisting French colonialism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The association aimed to preserve Algeria\u2019s Arab-Islamic identity<\/strong> and counter efforts of Westernization<\/strong>. Its reformist approach<\/strong> followed the legacy of Sheikh Abdelhamid Ben Badis<\/strong>, focusing on education, combating misconceptions, and eliminating superstitions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After six years<\/strong>, Ben Badis<\/strong> launched the association\u2019s charter<\/strong>, outlining its goals in promoting Arab culture and strengthening national awareness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Despite the challenges it faced, the association<\/strong> continued to play an active role<\/strong> in preserving Algerian identity<\/strong>. It further strengthened its global presence<\/strong> by joining the International Union of Muslim Scholars in 2014<\/strong>, expanding its influence on Islamic and scholarly issues<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
