The Scholars
\nTraining Center in Mauritania organized, on Thursday evening, January 1, 2026,
\na distinguished honorary academic gathering attended by a select group of the
\nCenter\u2019s students and faculty members. The event was held in tribute to and
\ncelebration of the guest of the Land of Chinguetti, His Eminence Sheikh
\nProfessor Dr. Ali Muhyi Al-Din Al-Qaradaghi, President of the International
\nUnion of Muslim Scholars, along with the accompanying delegation<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The gathering was
\nalso attended by His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hassan Al-Dedew, Vice
\nPresident of the Union and President of the Scholars Training Center, in
\naddition to the Center\u2019s Director General, its administration, a number of
\nleading scholars, and the Center\u2019s students and professors, all in a
\ndistinguished academic and fraternal atmosphere<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The event took place
\nin a spiritual, brotherly, and faith-filled setting, during an evening
\ngathering under the moonlight. Attendees expressed their deep appreciation for
\nthe honored guest through the recitation of poetry and Islamic chants praising
\nhim, highlighting his scholarly stature, and recalling his honorable stances
\nand outstanding efforts in championing the causes of the Ummah and serving
\nIslamic Sharia<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the conclusion of
\nthe gathering, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Muhyi Al-Din Al-Qaradaghi delivered a
\nvaluable scholarly lecture entitled \u201cCollective Ijtihad\u201d, in which he addressed
\nSharia, its methodology, and its framework. He underscored the importance of
\ncollective ijtihad in addressing contemporary issues, presenting a number of
\nprofound scholarly insights and methodological benefits. He also spoke about
\nthe academic and intellectual efforts embodied in his book \u201cAl-Manhaj\u201d, and the
\nfoundational perspectives it offers that contribute to guiding contemporary
\nIslamic thought<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting
\nthat this lecture came as a continuation of a previous lecture with which His
\nEminence had honored the Center\u2019s students and faculty, reflecting his ongoing
\nscholarly engagement, his commitment to supporting institutions of Islamic education,
\nand his dedication to strengthening pathways of sound scholarly grounding and
\nprudent ijtihad<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
