The International
\nUnion of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) is set to hold a press conference today,
\nTuesday, January 13, 2026, to launch the activities of \u201cGlobal Al-Quds Week,\u201d
\nin the presence of prominent religious and media figures<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Parallel press
\nconferences will be held in dozens of Islamic countries to mark the official
\nlaunch of the week\u2019s activities, which will run from January 13 to 19, 2026
\n(23\u201330 Rajab 1447 AH), coinciding with the anniversary of Al-Isra and Al-Mi’raj
\nand the Salah al-Din liberation of Jerusalem<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This international
\ninitiative aims to unify the efforts of the Muslim Ummah in supporting
\nJerusalem and Palestine, through a wide range of media and field activities
\ndesigned to raise awareness and activate the role of institutions and
\nindividuals in advocating for the Palestinian cause<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Global Al-Quds Week
\nwill witness broad participation from scholars and thinkers, civil society
\norganizations, associations and institutions, movements and political parties,
\nas well as media professionals and influential figures from various countries
\nworldwide, with the goal of amplifying the voice of Jerusalem and strengthening
\ninternational solidarity with it<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The week seeks to
\nreaffirm the centrality of Jerusalem, embody the responsibility of word and
\nstance in its support, and unify the efforts of scholars, institutions, and
\nactivists in spreading the truth about the holy city. It also highlights the
\nkey programs and messages carried by these activities at this critical stage,
\nserving as added value that contributes to supporting the Palestinian cause at
\nthe local, Arab, and international levels<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
