\nMuslim Scholars Condemns the Violation of Qatar\u2019s Sovereignty, Calls for an End
\nto the Massacres in Gaza, and Welcomes the Halt of Aggression Against Iran<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>(<\/span><\/b>Statement<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Amid the escalating tensions in the region,
\nwe welcome the announcement of a cessation of the Israeli aggression on Iranian
\nterritory, and we consider this a positive step toward de-escalation and
\nsparing the peoples of the region further destruction and suffering<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, we commend the effective
\ndiplomatic efforts of the State of Qatar in mediation and de-escalation, as
\nwell as its continued commitment to supporting just causes\u2014foremost among them
\nthe Palestinian cause\u2014and its tireless pursuit of saving lives, achieving calm,
\nand protecting civilians<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

However, these developments must not
\ndistract us from the fact that the Gaza Strip continues to endure a systematic
\ncampaign of genocide carried out by the Zionist occupation forces without
\ndeterrence\u2014through killings, starvation, and destruction targeting children,
\nwomen, the elderly, and defenseless civilians\u2014amid a suffocating blockade and a
\nshameful international silence<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

We, at the
\nInternational Union of Muslim Scholars<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>:<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> -1<\/span><\/span><\/b>Strongly condemn the missile attack that violated
\nthe sovereignty of the State of Qatar. We regard this as a blatant breach of
\nthe sovereignty of an independent state, a threat to the region\u2019s security and
\nstability, and a violation of international laws and norms. We equally condemn
\nany act of aggression by Iran or any other entity against any Muslim country<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> -2<\/span><\/b><\/span>Call for the immediate and comprehensive
\ncessation of the aggression against the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from a
\nsiege, starvation, and systematic destruction. We reiterate our call to enable
\nthe Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate rights\u2014foremost among them
\nthe right to life, dignity, freedom, and the establishment of an independent
\nstate on the blessed land of Palestine<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> -3<\/span><\/b><\/span>Strongly denounce the crimes and violations
\ncommitted by the Zionist occupation, including its attacks on peoples and
\nstates and its disregard for international conventions and UN resolutions. We
\ncall on the international community to take urgent action to put an end to this
\narrogance and prevent the situation from spiraling out of control<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

We ask Almighty Allah to protect our
\nhomelands and Muslim peoples from strife, aggression, and injustice; to spread
\npeace and security across our Ummah; to guide its affairs with wisdom; to unite
\nit upon truth; and to grant victory to the oppressed and vulnerable everywhere<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
