Indian Muslims Raise Outcry Against Genocide and Starvation in

In a
\nrare show of unity, leading Muslim figures in India issued a powerful call from
\nthe heart of the capital, New Delhi, demanding an immediate end to the genocide
\nand starvation in the Gaza Strip. They also urged the Indian government to
\nreclaim its historical role in supporting the Palestinian cause.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

India Must Uphold Its Historical Stance<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The
\nappeal came during a press conference held by prominent Indian Muslim leaders
\nat the Indian Press Club. Among the attendees were the head of Jamaat-e-Islami,
\nSa’adatullah Husaini; the head of the Ahl-e-Hadith movement, Sheikh Ali Asghar
\nImam Mahdi Salafi; prominent Shia scholar Sheikh Mohsin Taqvi; and Dr.
\nZafarul-Islam Khan, former Chairman of the Delhi Minorities Commission.
\nRepresentatives from Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind and the Muslim Students Union also
\ntook part.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nspeakers emphasized that the Indian government must adhere to its ethical and
\nhumanitarian principles, and must refrain from providing any form of support to
\nthe Zionist occupation. Instead, it should firmly stand with the oppressed
\nPalestinian people.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe urge
\nthe government and all segments of Indian society to rise in support of
\nPalestine and raise their voices for Gaza,\u201d said Sa’adatullah Husaini,
\nstressing that this is a moral and humanitarian responsibility that cannot be
\nignored.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

What Is Happening in Gaza Is the Collapse of International Law<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Dr.
\nZafarul-Islam Khan, a member of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and
\none of India\u2019s most prominent advocates for Palestine, strongly criticized the
\nsilence of the international community. He stated that what is taking place in
\nGaza amounts to a systematic destruction of international law, which has
\ndeveloped over more than a century and a half.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He noted
\nthat the majority of the world\u2019s nations\u2014from Africa, Asia, and Latin
\nAmerica\u2014stand with Palestine, while some Western countries continue to support
\nthe occupation despite being fully aware of the scale of atrocities being
\ncommitted. He pointed out that 140 countries have called for an end to the
\naggression, and that the International Court of Justice has issued arrest
\nwarrants for Netanyahu and other Israeli officials.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is
\nthe first genocide in history being carried out live on air, watched daily by
\nthe world without any action to stop it,\u201d Khan added, noting that the aim of
\nthe occupation is to displace Palestinians from Gaza by creating a full-scale
\nhumanitarian catastrophe.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He also
\nissued a sharp rebuke to Arab and Muslim countries, calling their silence an
\nunjustifiable complicity, and warning that history will hold them accountable
\nfor their disgraceful inaction.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
