Thousands of Moroccans Rally to Commemorate Ismail Haniyeh and
\nSupport Palestine<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Rabat \u2013
\nIn a poignant scene, thousands of Moroccans gathered in squares and streets
\nyesterday, Friday, to mark the first anniversary of the assassination of the
\nhead of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the
\nmartyr Ismail Haniyeh, and to express their ongoing support for Gaza and
\nPalestine in the face of escalating Zionist aggression.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the
\nmiddle of the Parliament Square in the capital, Rabat, a young girl stood
\nholding a picture of the martyr Haniyeh, bearing his famous statement: \u201cWe will
\nnever recognize the Zionist occupation,\u201d while another boy held a sign quoting
\na phrase he said in February 2024: \u201cWhat the Zionist occupation failed to
\nimpose on the ground will not be achieved through political intrigues.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Around
\nthe children, powerful chants echoed in the square: \u201cFrom Rabat, greetings to
\nIsmail Haniyeh,\u201d \u201cNo displacement, no settlement, down down with the Zionist
\noccupation state,\u201d and \u201cHaniyeh, we will never forget you… The entire
\nMoroccan people stand with you,\u201d reflecting the strong presence of the
\nPalestinian cause in the hearts of the Moroccan street.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This
\nevent was organized by the National Working Group for Supporting Palestine,
\nwhich held a symbolic vigil on the first anniversary of Haniyeh\u2019s
\nassassination. He was martyred on July 31, 2024, following a Zionist airstrike
\ntargeting his residence in Tehran during his participation in the inauguration
\nceremony of the new Iranian president.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During
\nthe vigil, participants paid tribute to the leaders and martyrs of the
\nPalestinian resistance, including Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Mohammed Deif, Yahya
\nSinwar, and Yasser Arafat, while condemning the ongoing policy of starvation
\nand killing in the Gaza Strip. They called for the urgent delivery of food and
\nmedical aid and demanded a halt to all forms of normalization with the Zionist
\noccupation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Simultaneously,
\n58 Moroccan cities witnessed the organization of 90 popular demonstrations
\nfollowing Friday prayers, as part of the activities of the 87th \u201cAl-Aqsa Flood
\nFriday,\u201d called for by the Moroccan Commission for Supporting the Nation\u2019s
\nCauses.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Protesters
\nraised slogans denouncing the Zionist massacres in Gaza and the West Bank, as
\nwell as the continuous U.S. support for the occupation, demanding that the
\nMoroccan government end the normalization agreement.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They
\nalso renewed their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people
\nand the brave resistance, affirming that the Moroccan street will remain a
\nvibrant voice for the cause and will not relent until the liberation of the
\nland and holy sites.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
