In a
\nstatement issued on Saturday evening, August 9, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly
\ncondemned the Israeli occupation\u2019s decision to fully seize the lands of the
\nGaza Strip, describing it as a heinous crime and irrefutable evidence of the
\noccupier\u2019s intent to erase Palestine from existence and remove it from the
\nworld map.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Al-Azhar
\nstressed that this move represents a stain of shame on the forehead of
\ninternational institutions that have failed to confront the occupation\u2019s
\npolicies of arrogance, violence, and defiance of international laws and
\nconventions. It noted that the occupation is fleeing from one failure to
\nanother by prolonging the war and committing more massacres against the
\nPalestinian people.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Al-Azhar
\ncalled for urgent Arab, Islamic, and international action to unite efforts and
\nexert all forms of political, diplomatic, and legal pressure to end this
\nhistoric tragedy and prevent the occupier from dragging the region into chaos
\nand collapse.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
