Qatar Ministry of Awqaf Issues \u201cThe
\nMessage of the Sunnah\u201d to Highlight the Prophetic Tradition<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Qatar,
\nrepresented by the Department of Islamic Research and Studies, has issued a new
\nbook entitled \u201cThe Message of the Sunnah\u201d, which focuses on the Prophetic
\ntradition as the second source of legislation in Islam after the Holy Qur\u2019an.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani,
\nDirector of the Department of Islamic Research and Studies, explained that the
\nbook was prepared by a distinguished team of professors, researchers, scholars,
\nand intellectuals. It is a continuation of the Ministry\u2019s previous publication,
\n\u201cThe Message of the Qur\u2019an\u201d, whose first edition was released in 2010 to
\ncommemorate the Qatar Mus\u2019haf and its circulation. The second edition was
\nissued this year in response to requests from readers and intellectuals following
\nthe sell-out of the first edition.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sheikh Dr. Al Thani emphasized that the new
\npublication reflects the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs\u2019 commitment to
\npromoting the status of the Prophetic tradition and is part of ongoing efforts
\nto serve the Sunnah across various levels and fields.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He pointed out that the research published in the book
\nunderwent academic peer review and was based on a set of axes and guidelines
\nestablished by the Department to form a comprehensive framework for research
\nand writing on the Sunnah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The book, released as part of the Ministry\u2019s series of
\ncollective cultural projects, addresses the message of the Sunnah across nine
\nmain areas: Da\u2018wah (Islamic call), education, humanitarian work, social
\naffairs, administration, economy, health, history, and the revitalizing message
\nof the Sunnah. It comes in two volumes totaling 900 pages.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
