Conclusion of the Global Forum for the
\nAuthentication of Qur\u2019anic Ijazahs in Kuala Lumpur<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The activities of the Global Forum for the
\nAuthentication of Qur\u2019anic Ijazahs concluded in the Malaysian capital, Kuala
\nLumpur, with the participation of a distinguished group of scholars and
\nspecialists in Qur\u2019anic sciences and recitation, alongside thousands of hafiz
\nand hafizah from Southeast Asian countries.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The forum, the first of its kind, serves as a platform
\nfor studying lapses in the verification of Qur\u2019anic Ijazahs, addressing cases
\nof granting Ijazahs to those who are not fully qualified, enhancing cooperation
\namong institutions and centers specialized in reviewing and authenticating
\nIjazahs, and exchanging expertise.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the forum, the Global Certificate for the
\nAuthentication of Qur\u2019anic Ijazahs was inaugurated, aiming to raise the level
\nof reliability and credibility of Ijazahs, and to preserve the status of Qur\u2019an
\nbearers through a precise methodology and systematic approach.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The certificate was awarded for the first time to ten
\nhafiz who met the standards for reviewing Qur\u2019anic chains of narration (isnad),
\nalongside honoring several senior Qur\u2019an reciters from ASEAN countries in
\nrecognition of their pioneering role in spreading and teaching the Qur\u2019an, as
\nwell as their contributions to nurturing generations of Qur\u2019an scholars
\ngrounded in the principles of moderation and balance.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The forum also witnessed the graduation of a new
\ncohort of hafiz and hafizah who obtained the Qur\u2019anic Ijazah with a continuous
\nchain to the reciters of the Salaf, through the Global Technical Qur\u2019anic
\nReading Program of the Muslim World League, in addition to graduates from the
\nQur\u2019an Memorization and Recitation Institute of the Islamic Foundation in
\nMalaysia affiliated with the League.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The forum issued several important recommendations,
\nthe most prominent of which include: documenting Qur\u2019anic Ijazahs according to
\nprecise scientific standards, enhancing the understanding of Ijazah for both
\nreciters and certificate holders, and following the best methodology in
\ngranting Ijazahs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
