Hundreds of Moroccans Protest in Solidarity with Gaza, Calling

Hundreds
\nof Moroccans took to the streets on Friday evening in several cities across the
\nkingdom, participating in nighttime marches demanding an end to the starvation
\nand extermination of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ndemonstrators called for urgent action to halt the Israeli aggression against
\nGaza, while also emphasizing support for the Global Resilience Fleet heading to
\nthe besieged territory.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

These
\nmarches were organized at the invitation of the Moroccan Committee for the
\nSupport of the Nation\u2019s Causes (a non-governmental organization), under the
\nslogan: \u201cFollowing in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad\u2026 Supporting Gaza with
\nthe Resilience Fleet.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Several
\nMoroccan cities, including Sidi Yahya and Sal\u00e9 in the west, as well as El Kelaa
\ndes Sraghna and Abi Jaaad in the central region, witnessed demonstrations in
\nwhich participants held banners expressing solidarity with the Palestinians,
\ndemanding an end to the starvation and massacre in Gaza.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Morocco
\nhas seen almost daily protests and mass demonstrations in solidarity with the
\nPalestinian people, calling for a halt to Israeli aggression, the lifting of
\nthe blockade, and the facilitation of humanitarian aid.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Since
\nMarch 2, Israeli occupation forces have closed all crossings leading to Gaza,
\npreventing the delivery of any humanitarian assistance. This blockade has
\npushed the territory into a state of famine, despite the accumulation of relief
\ntrucks at its borders, with only very limited quantities allowed
\nin\u2014insufficient to meet the minimum needs of the population.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nIsraeli occupation, backed by the United States, has continued committing what
\namounts to a genocide since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 64,000
\nPalestinian deaths and over 162,000 injuries, in addition to more than 9,000
\nmissing persons and hundreds of thousands displaced. The famine has also
\nclaimed the lives of over 376 Palestinians, including 134 children.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
