Inauguration of the Largest Mosque in the Balkans in

The city
\nof Kardzhali in southeastern Bulgaria witnessed the inauguration of the
\n“New Mosque” on Tuesday, one of the largest mosques in the Balkan
\nregion, during an official ceremony attended by religious and cultural figures,
\nas well as Turkish deputies and officials.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In his
\nopening speech, Minister Arsoy emphasized that the mosque represents an
\nimportant symbol for Muslims in the region, serving not only as a place of
\nworship but also as a spiritual, cultural, and social center. He also
\nhighlighted the ongoing development of friendly and cooperative relations
\nbetween Turkey and Bulgaria.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Minister
\nArsoy noted that the mosque was built on an area of 1,400 square meters and can
\naccommodate 1,200 worshippers. It includes various facilities such as Quranic
\neducation classes, meeting halls, and spaces for different activities, making
\nit a prominent center for serving the Muslim community in Kardzhali.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

For his
\npart, Head of Religious Affairs, Safi Arbagush, stressed that the “New
\nMosque,” as one of the most important mosques in the Balkans, will serve
\nas a center for knowledge, social solidarity, loyalty, and ethics, in addition
\nto being a place of worship.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
