The Syrian people are celebrating
\ntoday, December 8, 2025, the first anniversary of the fall of the oppressive
\nregime and the liberation of the country. The events of the occasion began with
\nthe Fajr prayer at the Umayyad Grand Mosque in Damascus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The prayer was led by President Ahmad
\nAl-Shar\u2019a, in the presence of His Eminence the Grand Mufti Sheikh Osama
\nAl-Rifa\u2019i, along with a wide gathering of officials and Syrian citizens.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After the prayer, President Al-Shar\u2019a
\ntook the pulpit of the mosque and delivered a speech in which he focused on the
\nearnest pursuit of Syria\u2019s renaissance and the restoration of its rightful
\nposition within the nation and the world.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He affirmed the continuation of
\nefforts in the path of reconstruction, and the consolidation of security,
\njustice, and stability throughout the country.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

President Al-Shar\u2019a praised the
\nsacrifices and heroism of the fighters as they entered Damascus victorious,
\nstressing that preserving and building upon this victory is now one of the
\ngreatest responsibilities placed upon all Syrians.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

President Al-Shar\u2019a said: \u201cFrom its
\nnorth to its south, and from its east to its west, God willing\u2026 we will restore
\nSyria as a strong nation through construction worthy of its present and past\u2026
\nconstruction worthy of Syria\u2019s ancient civilization. We will rebuild it in
\nobedience to Allah Almighty, in support of the oppressed, and in the pursuit of
\njustice among people, God willing.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He concluded his speech by saying:
\n\u201cWe ask Allah to protect this country, to assist us in serving and rebuilding
\nit, and in serving the Syrian people, God willing.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Following the speech, celebrations
\nerupted across Syria in joy of this historic national occasion.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On this blessed anniversary, we ask
\nAllah Almighty to safeguard Syria and its people, to unite them in truth, to
\nreconcile their hearts, and to protect them from harm and tribulations, both
\napparent and hidden.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

O Allah, make this era one of
\nsecurity, justice, and dignity, and grant Syria a new renaissance that pleases
\nYou and elevates the status of its people among nations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
