The Council of
\nScholars of Iraq organized, last Saturday, a specialized intellectual and
\nscientific seminar at its headquarters in Shouaf Mosque in Baghdad, dedicated
\nto exploring and highlighting the scholarly and intellectual contributions of
\nDr. Muhammad bin Sheikh Taher Al-Barzanji, a member of the International Union
\nof Muslim Scholars, in the presence of a distinguished group of scholars,
\nresearchers, and students of knowledge.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar was
\nmoderated by Sheikh Samir Al-Obaidi and Sheikh Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ani, President of
\nthe Council of Scholars of Iraq. It addressed Dr. Al-Barzanji\u2019s prominent
\ncontributions in Sunni creed, characterized by a rigorous scientific
\nmethodology that combines doctrinal grounding with methodological precision,
\nhighlighting his scholarly conclusions in the schools of Imams Abu Hanifa and
\nAl-Shafi\u2019i, and his efforts to demonstrate points of convergence and
\nreconciliation between the two authentic sources according to a balanced
\nscientific approach.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar also
\ndiscussed his in-depth scholarly study of Imam Al-Tabari\u2019s history, his role in
\nverifying historical narrations and distinguishing the authentic from the weak,
\nin addition to his contributions in highlighting the notable figures of the Muslim
\nUmmah, while clarifying his methodological stance that avoids both extremism
\nand neglect, affirming the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama\u2019ah approach based on
\njustice and fairness.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants
\nemphasized the crucial importance of these scholarly efforts in consolidating
\nthe moderate methodology, raising doctrinal and intellectual awareness, and
\nconfronting contemporary ideological deviations, stressing the necessity of
\nreviving and disseminating such rigorous studies among students and
\nresearchers.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This seminar is part
\nof a series of scientific and intellectual activities regularly organized by
\nthe Council of Scholars of Iraq, as part of its ongoing efforts to serve
\nIslamic knowledge, highlight the contributions of contemporary scholars, and
