Libya Achieves a

The General Authority of Awqaf
\nhas announced the completion of the \u201cLibyan Awqaf Quran for the Blind\u201d, in a
\nhistoric step considered the first of its kind globally in the Qalon \u2018an Nafi\u2019
\nrecitation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This achievement comes to
\nenhance the empowerment of visually impaired individuals, enabling them to
\nrecite the Holy Quran according to the authentic, well-established narration.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Authority stated in a post
\non its official Facebook page:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

“A great glad tidings is
\ndelivered to the Libyan nation, to the Islamic Ummah at large, and to our blind
\nbrothers in particular: By the grace and favor of Allah Almighty, a unique
\nQuranic work has been completed, prepared and reviewed in accordance with the
\napproved guidelines for writing the Holy Quran, consistent with the principles
\nof orthography, diacritical marks, and recitation, while taking into account
\nthe precise technical requirements of Qurans designed for the blind.”<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Authority highlighted that
\nthe project was overseen by a specialized scientific committee, responsible for
\npreparation, meticulous review, and rigorous scholarly verification, ensuring
\nthe Quran\u2019s accuracy and suitability for official use, in line with the highest
\nstandards of transcription and editing applied in serving the Book of Allah.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This historic accomplishment is
\nthe first worldwide in preparing a Quran for the blind in the Qalon \u2018an Nafi\u2019
\nrecitation, representing an unprecedented scientific and technical milestone,
\nand adding to Libya\u2019s proud record in serving the Holy Quran and its sciences.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The project represents a new
\nbreakthrough in enabling visually impaired individuals to recite and accurately
\nfollow the Quran, affirming that the service of the Holy Quran continues to
\nproduce remarkable projects and dedicated efforts.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that in 2007,
\nthe Blind Association in Benghazi issued the first Quran for the blind in the
\ntwo recitations, Qalon \u2018an Nafi\u2019 and Hafs \u2018an Asim, using the Ottoman script,
\npaving the way for the new achievement launched by the General Authority of
\nAwqaf.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
