The Grand Mosque of Algiers Celebrates 500 Quran Memorizers as Part of the Quranic Renaissance Project<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, the Grand Mosque of Algiers hosted a grand ceremony to honor 500 male and female Quran memorizers<\/strong> from various Algerian provinces. The event was part of the eighth edition of the Quran Memorization Project organized by the “Quranic Renaissance Foundation.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his speech on the occasion, the Dean of the Grand Mosque of Algiers, Sheikh Mohamed Al-Mamoun Al-Qasimi Al-Hassani<\/strong>, emphasized that discussing the message of the Quran in Algeria is akin to reflecting on a renewed Quranic renaissance. He highlighted that the efforts of the “Quranic Renaissance Foundation”<\/strong> serve as a genuine example of this blessed revival.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Al-Qasimi further noted that the Algerian nation has always been deeply connected to the Quran, which served as a source of inspiration for its revolutionaries during the liberation struggle and now stands as an educational reference for future generations.<\/p>\n

He stressed that honoring such a significant number of Quran memorizers is a remarkable day that reflects the fruitful outcomes of investing in promising youth who represent the cornerstone of Algeria\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

In a speech delivered on behalf of the Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali<\/strong>, MP Mohamed Taweel<\/strong> commended the efforts to preserve the Quran, urging adherence to Algeria’s cultural and religious heritage to strengthen national identity while adapting to modern changes.<\/p>\n

He also praised the pivotal role of the Grand Mosque of Algiers and the “Quranic Renaissance Foundation”<\/strong> in instilling religious and national values.<\/p>\n

In this context, the President of the “Quranic Renaissance Foundation,” Ibrahim Laamouri<\/strong>, explained that the eighth edition of the project crowns continuous efforts. He noted that the foundation organized intensive Quran memorization camps in several provinces, attracting thousands of participants and fostering a spirit of competition and enthusiasm for the Holy Quran.<\/p>\n
