The 28th edition of the Kuwait
\nGrand Qur\u2019an Memorization and Recitation Competition, held under the theme \u201cThe
\nNoble and Righteous,\u201d concluded with the honoring of 311<\/b> winners out of 3,416<\/b>
\nparticipants who took part in the final rounds. Among the winners, 155<\/b>
\nwere male and 156<\/b> were female, reflecting the competition\u2019s inclusive
\napproach for all segments of society.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\nPioneering Competition in Building Kuwaiti Society<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Acting Secretary-General of
\nthe Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation, Eng. Janan Al-Zamel, stated that since its
\ninception in 1996, a total of 50,000<\/b> participants have had the honor of
\ntaking part in the competition, while 4,776<\/b> winners have been celebrated
\nacross all editions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Al-Zamel emphasized that the
\ncompetition represents a practical model of the Foundation\u2019s strategy to build
\nthe Kuwaiti individual and develop society through the values of divine
\nrevelation, noting that endowments in Kuwait serve as a vital lifeline and a
\nsource of faith that safeguards national identity and values.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Competition\u2019s General
\nCoordinator, Marab Al-Ya\u2019qoub, highlighted that five years ago, 2,430<\/b>
\nparticipants joined the event, whereas the current edition witnessed 3,416<\/b>
\nparticipants, marking a 40%<\/b> increase. This rise reflects the heightened
\ndedication to the Qur\u2019an under the esteemed patronage of the Kuwaiti
\nleadership, further establishing Kuwait as a role model in promoting love for
\nthe Qur\u2019an.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Al-Ya\u2019qoub also reviewed key
\nachievements of the Awqaf Public Foundation in the Qur\u2019anic field, including
\nthe establishment of the Qur\u2019an Endowment Fund in 1995, the launch of the
\nKuwait Grand Qur\u2019an Competition in 1996, and the support of Qur\u2019an memorization
\ncircles in mosques and women\u2019s centers.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
