Turkey Launches Intensive
\nSummer Programs in Mosques to Promote Islamic Values Among Children and Youth<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

With the start of the summer holiday,
\nTurkey\u2019s Presidency of Religious Affairs has launched a series of intensive
\nprograms aimed at children and youth in mosques across the country. The
\ninitiative seeks to strengthen their connection to mosques and instill Islamic
\nand Quranic values in a safe educational environment that combines fun and
\nlearning<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Presidency of Religious
\nAffairs, the initiative aims to enhance the religious awareness of the new
\ngeneration through educational summer programs held in more than 1,800 mosques
\nand Quran memorization centers throughout Turkey<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span><\/b>Children\u2019s Mosque\u201d \u2014 A Leading
\nModel<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The \u201cHazrat Omar\u201d Mosque in the Pendik
\ndistrict of Istanbul has attracted notable attention, as local families and
\nchildren celebrated the launch of the summer program. A video clip showed a
\nlarge crowd of children eagerly rushing into the mosque, which was decorated
\nwith balloons, as soon as the doors opened\u2014an expression of their excitement
\nand enthusiasm to participate<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Locally known as the \u201cChildren\u2019s Mosque,\u201d
\nthe site has gained a reputation for integrating religious education with
\nrecreational activities, making it a pioneering model in attracting young
\npeople to houses of worship in an engaging and enjoyable way<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Presidency of Religious Affairs expects
\nhundreds of thousands of children to benefit from these summer programs this
\nyear. Last year\u2019s summer Quran memorization courses saw the participation of
\naround 2.4 million students, according to Sedide Akbulut, Director of
\nEducational Services at the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that many mosques in
\nTurkey now feature dedicated play areas for children. This is part of an
\neducational approach aimed at connecting children with mosques from an early
\nage, while providing a stimulating and safe environment that merges education,
\nupbringing, and entertainment<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
