In a sudden and tragic moment, Professor
\nDr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Farouqi<\/b>, Head of the Islamic Economics Department at
\nDamascus University, passed away on Monday, February 9, while participating in
\nthe Fourth Meeting of Sharia Authorities in Medina<\/b>, Saudi Arabia<\/b>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

While delivering his speech on
\nbehalf of the participants, Dr. Al-Farouqi suffered a sudden heart attack,
\ncausing him to stop speaking abruptly in front of the audience. Efforts by
\nattendees to provide immediate assistance were in vain, and he passed away at
\nthe conference venue before he could be transferred to a hospital.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The incident left attendees in
\nshock, especially as Dr. Al-Farouqi was actively engaged in a scientific

\nSyria, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Farouqi served as the Head of the Islamic Economics
