The 46th session of the Al
\nBaraka Islamic Economics Forum concludes today, Wednesday, in Madinah under the
\ntheme \u201cCharity and Benevolence in Islamic Economics: Towards a New Future.\u201d<\/b>
\nThe forum was organized by the Al Baraka Forum for Islamic Economics from
\nFebruary 9 to 11, 2026, at Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz University \u2013 Female
\nCampus.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The forum brought together
\nofficials, financial thought leaders, scholars, policymakers, and
\nrepresentatives from financial and development institutions across 18
\ncountries, forming one of the largest intellectual and economic gatherings in
\nthe region.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

A Global Platform for Developing Islamic Economics<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Al Baraka Forum is recognized as
\none of the foremost global platforms specializing in Islamic economics. For
\nmore than four decades, it has contributed to developing both the theoretical
\nand practical frameworks of Islamic economics, fostering constructive dialogue
\namong scholars, experts, and policymakers on contemporary economic issues,
\nwhile maintaining a balance between ethical values and economic efficiency.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The 46th session featured six
\nmain panels and more than 20 scientific and practical tracks, focusing on the
\npivotal role of the charity and benevolence sector as an active economic force
\ncontributing to sustainable development, social stability, and economic
\njustice. This was addressed through traditional instruments such as Zakat, Waqf
\n(endowments), Sadaqah (voluntary charity), Qard Hasan (benevolent loans), and
\nvolunteering, while exploring financial innovation and the role of Islamic
\nbanks and financial institutions to ensure the sector\u2019s growth and
\nsustainability.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Empowering Youth and Social Innovation<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The forum placed special
\nemphasis on supporting innovation, empowering youth, and enhancing social
\nentrepreneurship by highlighting the role of modern technologies and innovative
\nfinancing in expanding the impact of charitable work and transforming social
\ninitiatives into sustainable economic projects. The events included two
\nspecialized scientific lectures and four applied workshops aimed at capacity
\nbuilding, linking theoretical knowledge with practical application.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, the forum hosted
\nthe \u201cBridges of Research and Practice\u201d session under the patronage of the Saleh
\nKamel Islamic Economics Award, enabling young researchers to present their
\nstudies before leading academics and experts and receive scientific feedback.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The forum also featured the
\nThird Edition of the Young Researchers Hosting Grant for 2026, aimed at
\nfostering young scholars\u2019 participation in scientific dialogue and building
\nprofessional and knowledge networks to advance Islamic economics and promote its
\nculture.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In conclusion, the 46th Al
\nBaraka Forum reaffirmed its pioneering role in strengthening the position of
\nthe charity and benevolence sector as a key pillar of Islamic economics,
\ninvesting in human capital, empowering youth, and supporting innovation to achieve
