The
\nspecialized scientific workshop titled \u201cActivating the Media Role in Scholarly
\nInstitutions to Serve the Palestinian Cause\u201d, held as part of the International
\nScholarly Conference \u201cGaza: An Islamic and Human Responsibility\u201d, affirmed that
\nthe battle raging since October 7 is no longer confined to the battlefield
\nalone, but has also become an outright media battle. This, the workshop
\nemphasized, requires a strong presence from scholarly institutions, given their
\nreligious symbolism and influential social standing.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants
\nstressed that today, the media represents \u201ca central pillar in shaping
\nawareness and a weapon of contemporary jihad\u201d. They called on scholarly
\ninstitutions to use their platforms for legitimate mobilization against the
\noccupation, to expose its crimes in Gaza, and to produce faith-based and
\nhumanitarian content that speaks to the conscience of the world in every
\nlanguage.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop proposed
\nseveral key approaches to strengthen the media role, most notably:<\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

1-     <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Issuing
\nreligious rulings that consider media mobilization against the occupation a
\nduty.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

2-     <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Active
\nparticipation of scholars in international media campaigns and solidarity
\nevents.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

3-     <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Developing
\na unified narrative that reflects the religious and historical stance of the
\nUmmah on Palestine.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

4-     <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Shifting
\nfrom defense to media offense by exposing the occupation\u2019s crimes and
\ncountering its misleading narratives.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

5-     <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Entrenching
\ncore concepts (occupation, resistance, prisoners, Al-Aqsa) in scholars\u2019
\ndiscourse.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

6-     <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Linking
\nmedia with the field through events and demonstrations led by scholars.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

7-     <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Cultivating
\ninfluential religious figures capable of engaging with modern media and shaping
\npublic opinion.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nworkshop stressed that scholarly institutions must transform from traditional
\nacademic centers into purposeful media platforms that express the conscience of
\nthe Ummah and reshape both Islamic and international public opinion in support
\nof Palestine and Gaza.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

It
\nconcluded by underscoring that \u201cthe media battle is a battle of awareness, no
\nless critical than the battle on the ground.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
