As part of the activities of the International
\nScholars\u2019 Conference titled \u201cGaza: An Islamic and Human Responsibility\u201d, a
\nspecialized workshop was held on Sunday, August 24, under the theme: \u201cThe Role
\nof Political Movements and Civil Society Organizations in Supporting and
\nAdvocating for the Palestinian Cause\u201d, with the participation of a
\ndistinguished group of scholars and intellectuals.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop discussed the challenges facing the
\nPalestinian cause amid the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, stressing
\nthat political movements and civil society organizations are required to move
\nfrom mere reactions to proactive initiatives that mobilize energies and employ
\nresources in service of Palestine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The deliberations of the workshop
\nfocused on two main axes:<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

First: The Role of Political Movements<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Moving
\nfrom statements of condemnation to practical steps that pressure governments
\nand expose complacency.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Activating
\nparliamentary, union, and party tools to exercise legal, media, and diplomatic
\npressure.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Making
\nthe Palestinian cause a permanent priority in political agendas, away from
\npartisan calculations.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Unifying
\nthe stance of scholars, intellectuals, and politicians to ensure its reflection
\non the public sphere.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Second: Mobilizing Islamic Movements and
\nCivil Society Organizations<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\nand organizing popular efforts through joint events and mass campaigns.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Integrating
\nthe Palestinian cause into daily media, cultural, and educational discourse.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Building
\nlocal and international political and human rights alliances that transcend
\ninternal differences.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Drafting
\na global social charter that defines current priorities and guides popular
\nmobilization.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Adopting
\nlegal and diplomatic paths to prosecute the occupation in international and
\nnational courts.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>Leveraging
\nglobal popular support to expose the occupation\u2019s crimes and win international
\npublic opinion.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants
\nemphasized that the current moment is decisive and requires Islamic movements
\nand civil society organizations to lead the public with practical steps,
\nsteering clear of division and disputes. They affirmed that Gaza does not await
\nstatements of condemnation, but rather actions that restore the Palestinian
\ncause to its rightful place in the conscience of the Ummah and the world.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
