Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed
\nAl Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, announced the launch of
\nthe first phase of the \u201cQuran Teacher\u201d program after Ramadan in 15 schools as a
\npilot initiative, with plans to gradually expand the program in partnership
\nbetween the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of
\nAwqaf and Islamic Affairs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

During her speech at the
\nceremony honoring the 19th cohort of the Qatar Award for Scientific Excellence,
\nthe Minister emphasized that the initiative aims to enhance Quranic education
\nin schools, alongside implementing foundational programs in Arabic language
\nskills that have benefited over 300 students, while also expanding teacher
\ntraining programs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Reviving the Religious Institute and Strengthening National
\nIdentity<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

As part of efforts to reinforce
\nnational identity and balanced religious awareness, the Minister announced the
\nrevival of the Religious Institute, which teaches Sharia sciences and the
\nArabic language, describing it as a key educational and scholarly resource for
\nstudents.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

She also revealed the
\nestablishment of a girls\u2019 religious institute in partnership between the
\nMinistries of Education and Awqaf, aiming to enhance coordination between
\neducational and religious institutions in the country.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Complementary Educational Initiatives<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

To foster students\u2019 personal
\ndevelopment and promote values-based education, the Ministry launched the
\n\u201cBunyan Student Center\u201d in collaboration with the Ajyal Educational Center,
\nattracting nearly 2,000 students in the first two months, prompting a temporary
\nclosure of registration due to high demand.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, the \u201cRasikh\u201d
\ninitiative was launched in partnership with Qatar Foundation to reinforce
\nnational identity and the Arabic language in international curricula and
\nprivate schools, alongside reviving the scouting movement for its role in
\ndeveloping responsibility and belonging among youth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

A Digital Platform to Empower Youth<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Minister also highlighted
\nthe development of the \u201cAthar\u201d digital platform, which enables young people in
\nQatar and the Arab world to showcase their achievements online. The platform
\nhas already surpassed 13 million views in a short period, reflecting broad
\nengagement and growing interest in digital educational and cultural
\ninitiatives.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
