On Thursday, Istanbul\u2019s \u00c7\u0131ra\u011fan Palace
\nconcluded the International Roundtable Conference, which focused on violations
\ncommitted by the Zionist occupation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and
\nthe ongoing threats to holy sites<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The event was jointly organized by the
\nEuropean Muslim Forum, Al-Quds International Institution, the International
\nUnion of Muslim Scholars, the State of Palestine, and the Turkish Studies
\nFoundation<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The second and third sessions featured
\nnotable speeches by Sheikh Moataz Hafizi Yassin Abu Sneineh, Imam of the
\nIbrahimi Mosque in Hebron; Ayman Zidan, Executive Director of Al-Quds
\nInstitution; Russian journalist and politician Maksim Shevchenko; Rabbi Yeshia
\nYosef Rosenberg, an anti-Zionism activist; and Israeli journalist Israel Shamir<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Abu Sneineh stressed that the Zionist
\noccupation continues to impose full control over the Ibrahimi Mosque, noting
\nthat worshippers are subjected to insults and harassment, and are repeatedly
\nprevented from raising the call to prayer and performing prayers dozens of
\ntimes each month under the pretext of \u201cdisturbing the public.\u201d He also
\nhighlighted severe restrictions on worshippers\u2019 entry and exit, while
\nexpressing gratitude to the Turkish people for their continued support of
\nPalestine<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Ayman Zidan emphasized that the Zionist goal
\nis the complete Judaization of Jerusalem, underscoring the need for Muslim
\nunity and a legal response to Zionist policies concerning Al-Aqsa Mosque<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, Shevchenko asserted that the
\nZionist occupation disregards the rule of law, pointing to Turkish President
\nRecep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan\u2019s defense of Muslim and Christian rights, and Turkey\u2019s
\nrole in safeguarding the concept of justice inspired by the Ottoman state<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Rabbi Rosenberg highlighted the importance
\nof efforts aimed at halting genocide and the Zionist occupation in Palestine,
\nexpressing his deep pain as a Jewish citizen over the exploitation of religion
\nby the occupation to justify its practices<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Shamir pointed to Zionist attacks
\ntargeting churches in Gaza, stressing that \u201cthe Zionists are also fighting
\nChristianity<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been under
\nrelentless Zionist bombardment, backed by the United States, encompassing
\nkilling, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of
\ninternational calls and International Court of Justice rulings<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

These attacks have claimed the lives of more
\nthan 64,000 Palestinians and injured over 164,000 others, the majority of them
\nwomen and children, while hundreds of thousands have been displaced and
\nhundreds\u2014many of them children\u2014have died of starvation<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
