The State of Libya witnessed, on
\nSaturday February 21, the launch of the activities of the \u201cAl-Jayyid
\nInternational Quran Competition,\u201d with the participation of memorizers and
\nreciters from more than forty countries, in an international Quranic event that
\nreflects the country\u2019s status in serving the Book of Allah and enhancing its
\npresence on the map of international Quran competitions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The event was attended by Sheikh
\nDr. Ali Muhammad Al-Sallabi, Adviser on National Reconciliation in Libya, who delivered
\na comprehensive speech in which he affirmed that the Holy Quran will remain the
\nguiding light for individuals and nations, and the framework through which
\nvalues are established and societies are preserved.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Quran\u2026 A
\nMeasure of Values and a Unifier of the Ummah<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Dr. Al-Sallabi began his speech
\nby praising Allah and sending blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>, explaining that the \u201cAl-Jayyid
\nInternational Competition\u201d represents an extension of Libya\u2019s historical role
\nin embracing Quran memorizers and serving the people of the Quran. It has
\nbecome an annual station where reciters from dozens of countries meet,
\ncompeting in precision and Tajweed, and gathering around the table of divine
\nrevelation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He pointed out that the
\ngathering of delegations from more than forty countries under the banner of the
\nQuran embodies a scene of dignity and unity, where diverse languages meet upon
\na single melody\u2014the eternal melody of revelation. He affirmed that the Ummah
\nremains in goodness as long as there are those who carry the Book of their Lord
\nin their hearts, recite it proficiently, and act according to its teachings.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

A Civilizational
\nMessage Beyond Competition<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The National Reconciliation
\nAdviser clarified that this blessed competition is not merely about
\nmemorization and excellence in recitation, but rather a civilizational message
\naffirming the centrality of the Quran in the project of the Ummah\u2019s renaissance,
\nand its role in strengthening values and collective awareness. He cited the
\nverse of Allah: \u201cIndeed, this Quran guides to that which is most upright.\u201d
\n(Al-Isra: 9).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He added that such initiatives
\ncontribute to reviving the spirit of competing in good deeds, connecting
\ngenerations to divine revelation, and restoring the Quran\u2019s status as the
\nethical and methodological reference that unites the Ummah despite geographical
\ndistances.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cAl-Jayyid International
\nQuran Competition\u201d is an international event aimed at supporting the memorizers
\nof the Book of Allah, encouraging precision in memorization and recitation, and
\nbuilding a generation connected to the Quran in both word and deed, within the
\nvision of Al-Jayyid Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship to create
\nsustainable value-based impact.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
