As of Sunday evening, 16 ships departed from
\nthe ports of Kram, Sidi Bou Said, and Bizerte in northern Tunisia, as part of
\nthe Global Steadfastness Fleet heading to the Gaza Strip to break the Israeli
\nblockade and open a humanitarian corridor<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Khaled Boujemaa, a member of the Maghreb
\nSteadfastness Fleet, stated that 11 ships left Bizerte port from Saturday
\nevening until Sunday evening, while three ships departed from the Kram port in
\nthe capital, Tunis<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, two ships departed from Sidi
\nBou Said port, while a third ship is ready to sail, awaiting the completion of
\nsome logistical procedures<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier on Sunday, Ghassan Al-Hanshiri,
\nspokesperson for the Maghreb Steadfastness Fleet, confirmed that two Tunisian
\nships had departed from Kram port toward Gaza, with a third ship preparing to
\nleave soon, noting that eight Tunisian ships remain docked at the port<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Al-Hanshiri added that there are other ships
\nat Sidi Bou Said port, in addition to ships that have departed from Italy and
\nSpain, all of which are scheduled to meet at sea before heading toward Gaza<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The International Committee to Break the
\nGaza Blockade announced on Saturday the departure of the first ship of the
\nGlobal Steadfastness Fleet from Bizerte port in northern Tunisia<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The fleet comprises approximately 50 ships
\ngathered in Tunisian ports, including a Maghreb convoy of 23 ships, alongside
\n22 foreign vessels from European countries, Latin America, the United States,
\nPakistan, India, and Malaysia<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Convoys of ships departed from the Spanish
\nport of Barcelona and the Italian port of Genoa in late August and early
\nSeptember, arriving on Tunisian shores in preparation for their journey toward
\nGaza to break the Israeli blockade and open a humanitarian corridor<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Hundreds of people from 47 Arab and Western
\ncountries are participating in the fleet, including politicians, artists, and
\nparliamentarians, marking the largest gathering of ships heading to Gaza, after
\nprevious individual ships were intercepted by Israel and activists were
\ndetained<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Israel has closed all crossings to Gaza
\nsince March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid,
\nresulting in severe famine in the territory. Occasionally, the Israeli
\nauthorities allow limited quantities of aid, insufficient to meet basic needs<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Zionist occupation, with American
\nsupport, has been conducting a military campaign since 7 October 2023, which
\nclaimed the lives of more than 64 thousand martyrs, including thousands of
\nchildren and women, and resulted in the injury of hundreds of thousands,
\ndisplacement of hundreds of thousands, in addition to a famine that claimed the
\nlives of hundreds.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
