A large
\nnumber of Mogadishu residents participated yesterday evening, Friday, November
\n14, in a major religious event titled \u201cThe Quran and Brotherhood\u201d, delivered by
\nthe esteemed scholar and Quran reciter Sheikh Abdul Rashid Sheikh Ali Al-Sufi
\nat Peace Park, amid a massive audience and widespread engagement.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In his
\nspeech, Sheikh Abdul Rashid addressed several faith-based and ethical themes,
\nemphasizing that humans possess senses, each created with a specific function.
\nHowever, the heart finds its true happiness only in Islam, where God places
\ntranquility and contentment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He added
\nthat worldly happiness cannot be purchased, nor can any doctor implant it in
\nthe heart; rather, it is guidance from God, granted to believers regardless of
\nrace or nationality.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sheikh
\nAbdul Rashid clarified that true happiness lies in a person\u2019s relationship with
\ntheir Lord, in the love of God, in the delight of prayer, humility, and
\nsupplication before Him, stressing that these meanings represent some of the
\ngreatest joys that God instills in the hearts of His devoted servants.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He also
\nlikened countries\u2019 requirements for passports and visas to enter their lands to
\nthe reality that the universe belongs to God Almighty, and humans live on God\u2019s

\naffirmed that God loves His servants who gather for His sake, seek His

\neminence urged the audience to reflect on God\u2019s blessings, life, and death,
\nrecalling Quranic verses that encourage contemplation of human destiny.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He also
\ndiscussed scenes of the Day of Judgment, explaining the division of people into
\ntwo groups: the happy ones who enter Paradise, and the wretched ones led to
\nHell, emphasizing that reflecting on these scenes motivates repentance and
\ncorrecting one\u2019s path before it is too late.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In
\nanother section, Sheikh Abdul Rashid stressed the importance of the Quran,
\ncalling on Somalis to prioritize its recitation, memorization, understanding
\nits meanings, and applying them in daily life. He encouraged the implementation
\nof the campaign \u201cThe Best of You are Those Who Learn the Quran\u201d across all
\nsegments of society, from children to adults, and urged regular recitation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He
\npointed out that brotherhood in religion takes precedence over kinship ties,
\ncalling on everyone to uphold values of forgiveness and tolerance and to avoid
\ndisputes that lead only to sedition.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Sheikh
\nAbdul Rashid concluded his lecture with a supplication for God to send rain to
\nthe country, spread goodness and blessings, have mercy on the deceased, bless
\nthe living, grant youth righteous marriages and good offspring, and protect
\nSomalia, granting it security, prosperity, and peace.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
