Three senior
\nscholars of the Chinguetti Mahdara tradition passed away on Wednesday evening,
\nDecember 24, 2025, following a tragic road accident on one of the main routes
\nto and from the city of Akjoujt, approximately 40 kilometers south of the city<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The accident
\nresulted in the deaths of Dr. Mohamed El-Amin Ould Mohamed El-Moustapha, Dr.
\nIzdibieh Ould Al-Imam, and<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0633\u062a\u0627\u0630 <\/span>Mohamed El-Amin Ould Abdel Jabbar, after a collision
\nbetween two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Prado. The Prado was driven
\nby political notable Hussein Ould Sheikh, who survived the crash<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mohamed El-Amin
\nOuld Mohamed El-Moustapha was regarded as one of the most prominent literary
\nfigures and intellectual symbols associated with the Islamic movement in
\nMauritania. He was widely known for his significant scholarly and literary
\ncontributions, as well as his influential presence in the country\u2019s cultural
\nand intellectual landscape, in addition to his educational role within the
\nChinguetti Mahdara tradition<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This painful tragedy
\nhas cast deep sorrow and profound grief across scholarly and Mahdara circles,
\nas well as among the students and admirers of the deceased, in recognition of
\nthe high academic and symbolic standing they held<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The International
\nUnion of Muslim Scholars extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the
\ndear Mauritanian people, and to the families, relatives, and students of the
\ndeceased, praying that Allah envelop them in His vast mercy, grant them
\nspacious gardens in Paradise, console their loved ones, and replace the loss of
\nthe<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0645\u0629 <\/span>with goodness through its scholars<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
