Baghdad\u2026 Iraqi
\nFiqh Council Hosts Fourth Ramadan Student Forum<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In a Ramadan atmosphere filled
\nwith harmony and goodwill, the Iraqi Fiqh Council organized an iftar dinner and
\nspiritual evening at the Hanafi shrine in Baghdad on Tuesday, 14 Ramadan 1447
\nAH, corresponding to 3 March 2026, as part of an event titled \u201cThe Fourth
\nRamadan Student Forum.\u201d The program targeted university students residing in
\ndormitories and those away from their families during the holy month.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The forum was held as part of
\nthe council\u2019s commitment to university youth, supporting their educational and
\nspiritual development, particularly for students spending Ramadan away from
\ntheir families. The organizers aimed to create an environment that combined
\nworship, social interaction, and cultural activities, fostering a sense of
\nbelonging and alleviating feelings of isolation often experienced by students
\nduring this period.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Educational Messages and Responsibility of Da\u2019wah<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The evening witnessed a wide
\nattendance of students alongside several professors. The event opened with a
\nspeech by His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Jabbar, member of the
\nSupreme Council of the Iraqi Fiqh Council and preacher at the Hanafi shrine. He
\nhighlighted the pivotal role of youth in conveying the message of Islamic
\noutreach, noting that throughout Islamic history, nations have advanced through
\nthe efforts of young people who combined knowledge, faith, and awareness of
\ntheir mission.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He referred to exemplary models
\nfrom Islamic history in which youth played leading roles in science and
\nreligious outreach, emphasizing that modern universities serve as key arenas
\nfor intellectual and spiritual engagement. Students, he noted, are capable of
\npromoting ethical values and strengthening positive discourse within the
\nacademic environment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He also encouraged young people
\nto dedicate their energies to serving society and pursuing knowledge and
\nawareness, stressing that da\u2019wah extends beyond traditional platforms to daily
\nbehavior and good interpersonal interactions.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In a separate speech, His
\nEminence Sheikh Dr. Abdul Wahab Ahmed Hassan Al-Taha, also a member of the
\ncouncil\u2019s Supreme Council and preacher at the Hanafi shrine, discussed the
\nimportance of preserving Islamic identity. He explained that Islamic identity is
\na comprehensive system of beliefs, values, and ethical principles, reflected in
\na person\u2019s relationship with God, society, and homeland.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He noted that the contemporary
\nworld faces numerous intellectual and cultural challenges that may affect the
\nstability of identity, requiring young people to exercise deep awareness and
\ndiscernment between what aligns with the core constants of Islam and what might
\nlead to the erosion of Islamic character.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Spiritual Atmosphere and Cultural Activities<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Before the call to Maghrib
\nprayer, a collective supplication session was held. Attendees gathered in a
\nmoment of spiritual devotion, praying to God to accept their fasting and
\nworship and to bless Iraq and all Muslim countries with security and prosperity.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

After performing the Maghrib
\nprayer, students and professors shared an iftar meal that embodied the values
\nof fraternity and compassion characteristic of the Muslim community. Many
\nstudents expressed gratitude for the initiative, which allowed them to experience
\na family-like Ramadan atmosphere despite being away from home.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Organizers affirmed that such
\ngatherings help strengthen bonds between scholars and youth, open avenues for
\ndialogue, and provide psychological and moral support, particularly for
\nstudents studying far from their hometowns.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Post-iftar activities continued
\nwith educational and recreational programs, including cultural and
\nknowledge-based competitions designed to stimulate students\u2019 intellects and
\nencourage interaction. The competitions were marked by enthusiasm and positive competition
\namong participants.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the
\nevening, symbolic gifts were distributed to winners, and commemorative
\nphotographs were taken to capture these moments that combined worship,
\nlearning, and social engagement.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants affirmed that the
\nRamadan Student Forum has become an annual event eagerly anticipated by many
\nstudents due to its educational and spiritual messages, as well as its platform
\nfor dialogue between scholars and youth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The forum is part of the Iraqi
\nFiqh Council\u2019s efforts to enhance its societal and educational role through
\nprograms aimed at supporting youth and developing their religious and
\nintellectual awareness, helping to prepare a generation capable of facing contemporary
\nchallenges with a balanced scientific and spiritual outlook.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The event reflected the values
\nof solidarity and compassion inspired by Ramadan, highlighting the significance
\nof youth care and intellectual guidance as a true investment in the future of
\nsociety.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
