Thousands in Morocco and Mauritania Protest Zionist Occupation\u2019s

Thousands
\nof citizens in Morocco and Mauritania participated on Friday in massive protest
\nactivities demanding an end to the starvation policy imposed by the Zionist
\noccupation on the Palestinian people, amid the ongoing genocidal war in the
\nGaza Strip for more than 21 months.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In
\nMorocco, the Moroccan Committee for Supporting the Nation\u2019s Causes organized
\nsolidarity sit-ins in several cities, including Casablanca, El Jadida,
\nInzegane, Agadir, Oujda, Meknes, and Tangier, under the slogan \u201cNo to
\nStarvation, No to Siege, No to Normalization,\u201d with thousands of participants
\nfor the 86th consecutive week.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Protesters
\nraised images showing the signs of famine devastating Gaza, alongside banners
\ndenouncing the siege and rejecting normalization, chanting slogans affirming
\nthe unity of Morocco and Palestine in confronting the Zionist occupation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In
\nMauritania, thousands marched in the capital Nouakchott, carrying the
\nMauritanian and Palestinian flags and pictures of Hamas leaders, condemning the
\nstarvation policy and considering it a war crime.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ndemonstrators also held the United States responsible for the continuation of
\nthe aggression and called on the Arab and Islamic peoples for a popular
\nuprising to impose a ceasefire and allow aid to enter Gaza.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Since
\nOctober 2023, Gaza has witnessed a comprehensive genocidal war carried out by
\nthe Zionist occupation, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced
\ndisplacement, despite international appeals and rulings by the International
\nCourt of Justice to stop the aggression.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This
\nwar, backed by the United States, has resulted in the death and injury of more
\nthan 203,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, in addition to
\nthousands of missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced people
\nsuffering from devastating famine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
